A British lady was sad and lonely for years in London .. until she came across an article about Gambia on travelindustry.news
After years of loneliness and cold routines in England, Margret decided it was time for a change. A new beginning. Her sister sent her in the first week of March an article on the B2B platform travelindustry.news and she was fascinated from this little country in Africa. In March 2026 she booked a flight from London to Banjul. Six hours in a plane. With passengers from Africa and UK. The Aircraft was a two years old B737 Maxx from TUI UK. She paid 700 $ for her return flights incl. her luggage…

Arriving in Africa: A new world for the British woman
Margret’s first morning at Rainbow beach Resort
She travelled to The Gambia’s Atlantic coast and quickly discovered a place full of warmth, peace and happiness. The beautiful beaches around Sanyang, the tropical sunsets and the relaxed atmosphere helped her rediscover joy and inner calm. What started as a simple holiday soon became a life-changing experience.
Margret was a little shy at the beginning … but she started her first walk at the Paradise Beach
Margret: “The Paradise Beach gives me so much positive energy”
Sunset at Paradise Beach.. The second night she said to her sister in England “It is the first time for a decade that I’m happy…”
Margret fell in love with the friendly people, the laid-back lifestyle and the natural beauty of Africa’s smiling coast. Long walks along almost empty beaches and sunny days by the ocean gave her a fresh outlook on life. Today, she says The Gambia gave her back something she had almost forgotten: the feeling of truly being happy again.
She ordered from the beach boys a fresh squeezed orange juice and whispered “What a difference to my life in England…”

Margret in April 2026 at Rainbow Beach Resort in Gambia: “My first smile after years of sadness …”
Margret describes her stay at Rainbow in Gambia as one of the happiest and most relaxing experiences of her life. After years of stress, loneliness and grey weather in England, she suddenly found herself surrounded by sunshine, beautiful beaches and genuinely friendly people.
Rainbow Beach Resort is a simple lodge, staff and location are superb
She especially loved the peaceful atmosphere at Rainbow, the warm ocean breeze, fresh food and the feeling of waking up every day with a smile again. Long walks along the beach, tropical sunsets and the kindness of the local people gave her a completely new energy and outlook on life.
Margret said: “Rainbow staff is very friendly and caring”
For Margret, Gambia became much more than just a holiday destination — it felt like a second home. She says her time at Rainbow helped her rediscover happiness, freedom and inner peace.
Margret smiled and said that nice gentlemen gave her a kind of new life:
I feel 30 years younger now, hahaha….
A simple lodge, affordable prices for rooms and food and drinks
Now back in England, she already misses the sunshine and relaxed lifestyle of Africa’s smiling coast and hopes to return to Gambia as soon as possible … Her sadness is gone, she is even a little tanned from the sunshine in Africa.
